I thought your About was interesting but a little too short and hurried. I did like how you talked about what kind of writing you preferred and what your hobbies were. As for the rest of your blog I like your essays because some of them talk about (explicitly or not) the influence of journalism on your writing. Never having been interested in that aspect of writing myself I found these parts particularly interesting for the different prospective. The only thing I noticed that you were missing was the draft for paper 1 otherwise everything else was well ordered and insightful.

Dan,
I enjoyed reading your essays because they brought the new element of journalism into the equation. I think it is important for all of us english majors and minors to recognize all types of writing (not just literature and academic writing.) I didn’t see your reading response on Frankfurt and Miller, but I liked how you formed the hooks-Gates response. I struggled with that one so I was glad to see a different, more understandable approach. And I know I already said this, but I really liked your memoir. Thanks for sharing
